Dr. Michael Mitry DPM
Dr. Michael Mitry completed his doctorate degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, New York, NY. He completed his residency training at the prestigious Yale New Haven Health Systems/ Bridgeport Hospital.
Dr. Mitry has extensively trained in all aspects of podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery, focusing on forefoot surgery, pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, and reconstructive surgery. Even though he has had some of the best surgical training in the country, Dr. Mitry is very conservatively minded when it comes to his patient's treatment.
He is a current member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Association, as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and is joining South Shore Medical Center. Dr. Mitry currently lives in Norwood, Ma where he grew up as a child. He loves the many great sports in Boston. He is an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
Dr. Leonard Pinto DPM - (retired)
Dr. Leonard Pinto, D.P.M. is board certified in podiatric medicine. He is the founder of the practice and has more than 40 years of experience. He is the past president Mass Podiatric Medical Society, the past president of the Region 1 Podiatry Scientific Meeting, Delegate for MA to the annual APMA House of Delegates. He is compassionate and well-respected by his family, friends, patients, and the community. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling with his wife Amy.
Dr. Christopher Karter DPM
Dr. Christopher Karter received his degree as a graduate of Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency training at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island/Kent County Hospital in Rhode Island.
During his residency training, Dr. Karter was educated in all aspects of podiatric care with a specific program emphasis on surgical skills. His training was largely focused on reconstructive surgical procedures and he also has extensive experience in trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. He served as chief resident in his final year. Although well-trained surgically, Dr. Karter believes in a conservative approach when appropriate and puts great focus on patient-centered care.
Dr. Karter is on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, Norwood Hospital, Mount Auburn Hospital, and Morton Hospital. He is a Member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Karter is originally from Connecticut as well as eastern Ohio. He currently resides in Plainville, MA with his wife Valerie. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities including trail running, snowboarding, and hiking with their 2 rescue dogs.
